BASH Quality Control

Never the biggest or handsomest horse, Rock nonetheless filled the arena. When he heard the call, he got down like no other horse. His heart for his work brought grown men to tears and blew the competition away.

Lela is a lovely, quiet, self-possessed broodmare. An excellent mama, she typifies the best attributes of her breed in conformation, disposition, integrity, loyalty and power.

Spring was born to the infamous “wild mare” of Indiana on a stormy night. Her pre-dawn catapult down a steep bank into a cold creek woke us all. She has lived up to her dramatic entrance into the world. Chastened by nature and loved by me.

The ever companionable Lester loves children. A gentle giant, he’s good under saddle or in the collar. He will look out from under his blond bangs at the end of a hard day and make all your troubles melt away. A handsome, joyous horse of the field.

There should be a law against horses like Buckshot. He’s big, he’s bossy, he’s brassy, he’s too sexy for himself. If the other horses have been driven out of the barn or something’s been broken, one thing is for sure, Buckshot did it.

"Does this barn make my butt look big?"

Why It's All About Horses

One of the most majestic things in this life is to see something do what it was born to do—for me, that goes double for horses.

This site is about whole horse nurture based on super foods so that horse and human both win.

In my 40-plus years of horse ownership, I’ve seen a lot.

I've seen good intentions, egoism and plain meanness behind big mistakes that caused a lot of unnecessary strife and suffering to horses.

It doesn’t have to be like this, there is a better way and that's what BASH is all about.
